In communication with the relevant institutions, the Faculty of Urban Planning holds its annual exhibition of students’ products

The Faculty of Urban Planning – University of Kufa – held its annual exhibition of student products in its three departments (Urban Planning Department, Regional Planning Department and Environmental Planning Department) on Tuesday, 5/23/2023, with a high-level attendance by representatives of government institutions and local administrations in Najaf, Karbala and Babel.

The activities included a presentation of the outputs of graduate students in the Department of Urban Planning related to the subject of urban planning and design for green sectors, where the students presented design models and spatial plans for the cities of Najaf and Kufa. Al-Mishkhab in addition to the locality planning projects, through which the students presented proposed designs for standard models for residential premises according to the conditions of sustainability.

The exhibition activities also witnessed a review of the products of the students of the Regional Planning Department, represented by the project of preparing the master plan for Al-Mishkhab district and the city of Al-Qadisiyah in Al-Najaf, as well as the strategic environmental assessment project for selected sites from the city of Karbala, and the sectoral plan project for the Hashemite region in Babel.
The exhibition of the students’ products of the Environmental Planning Department included a presentation by a number of students represented by models of environmental designs and environmental impact assessment of selected sites from the city of Najaf.

The exhibition was supervised by the Dean of the Faculty of Urban Planning, Dr. Samer Al-Jashami, and a group of teachers, who praised the wide attendance represented by officials of administrative units and directors of departments in the governorates of Najaf, Karbala and Babel.
