The Faculty of Urban Planning is discussing a master’s thesis

The Faculty of Urban Planning – University of Kufa conducted a discussion of the master’s thesis tagged (Strategies for Urban Expansion and Sustainable Development Projects – An Analytical Study of the Holy City of Najaf) for the student (Zaid Ali Tawfiq Al-Jubouri) on Tuesday 5/9/2023. The research discussed the rapid urban growth in the city of Najaf Which leads to many urban problems, which requires finding strategies that contribute to achieving these problems, and achieving harmony between sustainable urban development projects.
Among the research objectives were:
• Proposing modern and sustainable strategies for urban expansion that would create harmony between development projects in the city of Najaf and urban expansion in achieving an appropriate environment

The research concluded several recommendations, the most important of which are:
The need to study appropriate humanitarian policies to confront population growth.
Directing investment towards establishing low-cost housing projects.
• The need for land use plans to be consistent with the development goal of the region to accommodate the urban urban expansion..
