The Department of Regional Planning at the Faculty of Urban Planning holds a panel discussion entitled “Sustainability in Buildings”

The Department of Regional Planning at the Faculty of Urban Planning – University of Kufa held a panel discussion via the “Google Meet” program entitled “Sustainability in Buildings” on Wednesday, 4/26/2023.
The seminar aims to shed light on sustainability standards in buildings.

The lecture, assistant teacher, Ruqia Fakhri Al-Rubaie, dealt with several methods and mechanisms regarding buildings or built assets. Existing BIM software is used by individuals, companies, and government agencies responsible for planning, designing, constructing, operating, and sustaining various physical infrastructures.
The seminar reached conclusions, the most important of which are:
1) The need for researchers to familiarize themselves with modern methods of sustainability, such as the use of energy, water and other sources.
2) Reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation.
3) Protecting the health of the occupants of these buildings.
