The Department of Environmental Planning at the Faculty of Urban Planning – University of Kufa – holds a scientific symposium

The Department of Environmental Planning at the Faculty of Urban Planning – University of Kufa held its scientific symposium entitled (Sustainability in the Built Environment). The symposium included three main axes, in which the teachers delivered three working papers. The second work concerned identifying areas suitable for sustainable urban expansion in the city of Najaf, delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Karim Nijres.. While the third paper included the safe city, a sustainable vision for the traditional city of Najaf, delivered by both Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Shamkhi and Assistant Doctor Ahmed Abdel Salam..

The symposium was opened by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Samer Al-Jashami, accompanied by the respected scientific and administrative assistants.
The symposium was attended by a group of specialists in Al-Najaf Governorate, directors of Kufa municipalities, urban planning and regional development, and a number of Faculty teachers.
