The Department of Regional Planning at the Faculty of Urban Planning – University of Kufa held a scientific workshop entitled (Sustainability in Buildings). The workshop came out with a set of recommendations, the most important of which are:
1) Warn the dilapidated buildings.
2) To draw attention to the importance of green lands in educational buildings.
3) Warn that there are sanitary shops in the buildings.
4) Sharing information on sustainable development such as fire extinguishers and other building safety items.
The workshop was attended by a number of college professors and students.
