The Urban Planning Department at the Faculty of Urban Planning is holding a panel discussion on the theories of decorations and inscriptions between the present and the past

The Department of Urban Planning at the Faculty of Urban Planning – University of Kufa – and within its annual plan for panel discussions for the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023, held a panel discussion on the theories of motifs and inscriptions between the present and the past, on Wednesday 11-16-2022, in the presence of the department head and a number of teachers.
The offer was submitted by M.M. Mahmoud Hussein Muhammad Al-Musawi on theories of decorations and inscriptions between the present and the past. The lecture included a definition of the concept of decorations and their types, in addition to a review of the most prominent civilizations that were famous for their decorations and the customs and traditions they reflect in their societies, with the most prominent theories related to decorations from ancient times to the postmodern era, and what they reflect. These decorations of an aesthetic language and a language of communication revive the human scale of buildings and the culture and identity of people.
